Rich lived in Villa Park, and he's a C.P.A. When he started his campaign, he said, "The formula for responsible governing is not complicated. Ending unwise spending and restraining the growth of the Federal Government are the essential components. I will run a frugal and energetic campaign and bring my thrift and energy to Congress in 2012. I look forward to a robust debate on the issues."

Rich supports cutting spending from the Departments of Agriculture and Education. He wants to eliminate federal spending from Amtrak.

Rich says that the federal government should enforce all current immigration laws.

Endorsements

Rich's campaign was endorsed by Chad Koppie, a member of the Kane Co. Regional Board of Schools, former Rutland Township Trustee, and 2012 state senate candidate, in the new 33rd District. Rich was endorsed by Mike Psak, the conservative republican U.S. Senate candidate, in Illinois, in 2008.

Rich's orginal idea, to help Social Security

Rich is a CPA, so he would be in expert, in improving the federal tax rates and spending. Rich has a new generation skipping plan for Social Security. Many Americans retire and receive pensions, causing them to decide that they don't need Social Security. Rich thinks that those people should have the choice to not receive Social Security benefits. Instead, they could tell the federal government to save the money for one or more of their grandchildren. The Social Security Administration would send documentation to the retiree and his or her grandchild (or grandchildren), promising to give that money to the grandchild (or grandchildren) upon their retirement. If Congress passes a bill, with this suggestion, and some retirees use choose to use this plan, the Social Security payments, would decrease.

Rich Evans is the only republican candidate for Illinois' new 8th Congressional District. He's a conservative activist who worked for Eric Wallace, Jim Oberweis, and Kathy Salvi.

Rich supports tax cuts and spending cuts. He's pro-life and anti-illegal alien.
